Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Image of the Week

"Our Earth"     April 22, 2015

Every day we can celebrate our precious Earth. I took this photo just outside the door in the backyard we are borrowing for now.

...a seemingly simple patch of earth:
partially-exposed tree root, needles and leaf litter, a rock, lichen, twigs, sand and soil...

The detail, the beauty, the abundance, the richness
- of color, texture, pattern -
are reasons to pay attention to and honor this breathing place that holds us.

Blessings to you and all beings on this Earth Day!
