Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings NATURE PRACTICE: “Find a Haven”

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are quotes, mantras, reveries, poems, & practices offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Find for yourself an outdoor haven. Choose a garden, green space, maple tree, riverbank, or trail that you can go to by yourself for a few minutes several times a week. Be sure that it is a spot that feels very good to you. Consider setting a time of day that you will commit to just sitting there. The birds are nesting in cozy spots hidden in the foliage, limbs, and grasses; adults sit on eggs, waiting. So, too, sit and wait for those several moments in the special place you’ve selected and see what is birthed.
