Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings WRITING TIP: “A Childhood June in Phrases”

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are quotes, mantras, reveries, poems, & practices offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Recall an early memory about being released from the school year into the vast expanse of nature’s summertime. Write down explicit details about one of your childhood outdoor activities. Flesh this out on the blank page; use specific words but do not worry about crafting complete sentences…let short phrases be enough. Just as iridescent hummingbirds drink the rich nectar of bright flowers, savor each juicy bit of your own reverie as sensory nourishment.
