Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Four Views

Right alongside this new month of July, rolled in long sheets of clouds. We were delighted to have the relief of the marine layer; one of the hottest days so far this season had coated our skin with a glistening layer of moisture the day prior.

And then I remembered how much I love what the clouds do for us…and I don’t just mean the cool breezes; I also mean the visual wonder of textures and colors – especially at sunset. We were graced with this gift on Wednesday evening.

May you enjoy this balmy season, resting well over the holiday.

Here are four images I took of the sunset on the first evening of this month, courtesy The Blessed Clouds (in collaboration with The Sun).
