Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings NATURE PRACTICE: “Make Beauty”

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are quotes, mantras, reveries, poems, & practices offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Return to an outdoor location that is familiar to you – backyard, local green space, hiking trail, water’s edge, hilltop. Spend quiet time noticing the shapes, textures, patterns, and colors that surround you. Then, like a spider weaving her labyrinthine web, create something beautiful without disrupting the landscape. Use what you can find around you at the moment; your creation can be a simple circle of stones, an intricate collage of fallen leaves, a small pile of twigs and cones.
