Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings WRITING PRACTICE: "Leaf"

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are quotes, mantras, reveries, poems, & practices offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Using the word “leaf” as a prompt, free-write quickly across an unlined landscape oriented page. Consider the season of autumn and its foliage, the pages that make up a book, the additional section used to expand the length of a table. Write about tea leaves or gold leaf. Allow your pen to continue moving even if your thoughts seem to stray off the prompt. Scrawl as much or as little as you want.
