Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Limerick?

There once was a lass lived in Awe,
Whose passion for Earth was so raw.
She roam’d beaches and woods;
Sought their bounty of goods.
Her pockets filled up with –

...spider webs
a dragonfly
leaves
blue jay, heron, crow, eagle, osprey chick feathers
sand
stones
crab exoskeletons
coyote scat
barnacles
moss
a rabbit’s foot
cones
seaweed
lichen
pine needles
twigs
sage
a root tangle
bones
a butterfly and moth
snail shells
creatures’ teeth
a nest made of her hair
bark slabs
bark curls
seashells
a sand dollar
flowers
agates, and...

– a claw.
