Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings CREATIVE PRACTICE: “Mandala”

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are practices and quotations offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Make a circle (on paper, out of rocks, in the dirt, stitched on fabric, etc). Within that shape create a simple, symmetrical pattern with colors, shapes, found natural items, or whatever. Just as the earth’s elements cycle through destructive or sustaining events, they also remain simply present. Appreciate the simplicity of your beautiful mandala.
