Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Hearth: comfort, beauty, nourishment for the soul

TEALarbor stories’ “Hearth” series offers a tiny, gentle respite during this incredible transition we’re in. Rest for a few seconds here in the hearth of nature and creativity.

"What Do You See?"

Walking back from the garden shed, I looked down and saw this intricate scene (photo below). What do you see in the patterns and shapes? What textures draw you in? Where in the photo does your eye find rest, or have a need to know more, or see beauty? Try enlarging the image on your screen; take a few steps back from the screen to see what you notice. What memory does this image evoke for you?
