Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings: “Lay Your Hands Upon It”

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are quotes, mantras, reveries, practices…offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

You walked outside to breathe and you noticed something in your yard; now, touch it.
Lay your hands across the bare dry earth, or upon grass, flower petals, rocks, weeds, a tree trunk, in water or in sand.
Allow yourself to just feel it, noting the sensations but not trying to change anything about them.
The earth holds us and we can likewise embrace it in return.
