Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Winter Holy Day Blessings

In this season of long nights, search your depths for renewal, strength, courage, and the seed of hope that surely resides within. Reach deeply inward, sitting in the pitch black of midnight...but hold the faith that this is not all. This murk is not the end; it is the process. It is a vital part of the journey. And it makes the light complete. Balance is wholeness. Darkness must have light; both are necessary for healing, for forward movement, for being able to offer the best of ourselves:  our tender, compassionate hearts.

Peace. Beauty. Wholeness.

The light is almost ready to begin its return...

Wishing you a beautiful winter solstice 2014!
