Rumi: “Let the beauty we love be what we do.”
Let: …to permit; to allow to pass, go or come; to grant…cause…
Beauty: …quality that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction; meaningful
pattern or design…
Love: …profoundly tender; passionate affection; warm attachment…
Be: …exist; occur; continue…
Do: …accomplish; exert; put forth; bring about…
Let the beauty we see, touch, hear, smell, taste - be what we offer.
Let the shadow, darkness, sorrow, hatred we see - be the touchstone to move us back into the deep core heart of
love.
Let the impatience, greed, selfishness we see - be the mirror back into our own shadowy places.
Let the light - be the beacon we offer.
Let the pain - be the wisdom that teaches.
Let the extraneous things gently slough off so that each moment is a prayer to the highest calling we can
summon.
Let the in-breath fill and heal and soothe.
Let the out-breath relax us into surrender.
Let the mantra of each moment - be that very moment itself, in its rich fullness.
Let the fear we perceive outside of us show us the path back into the places within that are fearful…
Let us face them head on: the light and the darkness.
And with that unfettered, compassionate honesty may we live gratefully and graciously.
