Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings WRITING PRACTICE: “Traveling Home”

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are quotes, poems, & practices offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Make a list of places that you have called “home.” Choose one of these locations and note the key features of that place. Choose one of these features, or aspects, and write out details about it. Find photos or memorabilia from that place. Notice how you feel as you re-engage the memories. Just as ants leave a scent trail to wend their way back to their nest, so too can you revisit your inner sense of home by moving from general to specific writing about it.
