Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Monday Musings NATURE PRACTICE: "Outdoor Hearth"

TEALarbor stories’ Monday Musings are practices and quotations offering simple ways to explore the ecotone of the inner/outer landscape.

Go to a safe, comfortable, very nurturing-feeling outdoor natural space in your yard or near your home. Huddle close—to a large rock, under a tree, near some brush or bushes, wherever you can feel secure—and allow the place to feed and hold you. Remember your human-animal self and become “at home” for a few minutes in the nature place you’ve chosen.
