Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Just a few...

...of the abundant Southern Hemisphere textures:  brilliant, tantalizing, a reminder that I am far from home.

I notice that Orion stands on his head above me here. And the waning moon last night reversed the direction to which my Northern Hemispheric eyes are accustomed.

As I ran, then giggled, then slowly jaunted through a momentary afternoon downpour today, I marveled at the scents changing with each pace - flowers, grasses, wet pavement, sumptuous soil.

It is all perfectly ordered in spontaneity, delicious.

I am completely centered, whole, at ease.
