Welcome!

Welcome! This is a place to share how we celebrate & deepen our relationship to Nature. Here you will find stories, images, & ideas about wilderness, human nature, & soulfulness. Drawing from the experiences of everyday living, the topics on this blog include: forays into the natural world, the writing life, community service, meditation, creativity, grief & loss, inspiration, & whatever else emerges from these. I invite you on this exploration of the wild within & outside of us: the inner/outer landscape.

Unwrapping the Gift of 2015

Ah, the new year:  a reminder that we are given opportunities, renewal, openings…

What can we do with the opportunities for a fresh start? Perhaps we begin by being. We sit quietly in the woods or near our hearth and allow whatever is present to abide in us.

How can we renew or craft anew intentions for practice? Perhaps we start by seeing where we are stuck, where we are edgy, explore that for which we long.

Why do we ever want to open to the unknown? Perhaps we know deep down in our core that no matter how hard we conjure or analyze, we really do not know much at all about what is to come.

When and where do we unwrap the gift? Perhaps we root deeply into the very present now of here.

Blessings to you as you embrace the opportunities, renewal, and openings that 2015 brings.
